Necessary materials:
- 64 g grated coconut
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 128 ml of curd (yogurt or in Hindi called forehead)
- 4 slices of bread
- teaspoon mustard seeds (black sarson seeds, or in Hindi called rai)
- 1 or 2 dried red chilies (sukha lanka)
- Enough oil to mix (tadka)'
- Some green curry leaves, either fresh or dried curry leaves.
- 1 or two chopped green chilies.
How to make :
- Combine curd with grated coconut, chopped green chilies, and sugar in a food processor.
- Spread the mixture on each of the two sides of the bread that you will use to make Dhokla bread. Make two pairs of sandwiches using the method above.
- Heat the oil that has been poured into a frying pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and crushed dried red chilies to the frying pan.
- Stir all the ingredients for a minute or two, until the mustard crackles. After that, turn off the stove and remove the pan from the stove.
- Pour the mixture that you made earlier on the sandwich that you have spread with the previous seasoning mixture.
- Cut 4 sandwiches into 4 equal parts.
- Enjoy Dhokla bread while it's hot.
