Materials needed:

  • Enough cooking oil, for frying
  • 3 tbsp almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 3 tbsp cashew nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tbsp boiling water
  • 2 tbsp ghee, (a type of butter and butter) You can buy it at a pastry shop

Dough Material:

  • 150 gr gram flour / lizard mavu, (usually from nuts, and slightly brown in color)
  • 120 ml water, or as needed
  • 1 tbsp sooji powder (a type of wheat flour)
  • tsp food coloring (choose orange)

Sugar syrup ingredients:

  • 200 gr sugar
  • 120 ml water
  • 1 cm turmeric, puree
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

How to make Ladoo (Ladu):

  1. Prepare a container to mix gram flour and sooji powder, then add water until it is a little runny and can fall like water.
  2. Add food coloring, then stir again until the mixture turns orange.
  3. Heat the oil over medium heat, then prepare a slotted spoon with a medium size, then start pouring the liquid mixture onto the spoon.
  4. Let the dough drop into the oil and dry a little, then remove and drain. Do it until the dough runs out.

How to make sugar syrup:

  1. Prepare a pan and fill it with sugar and water, then stir and let the sugar dissolve
  2. When it is dissolved, please add cardamom powder and turmeric, then stir again until blended.
  3. Put the ladoo mixture that has been made into the sugar stew. Add 2 tablespoons of boiling water, chopped almonds, and cashews.
  4. Then cook and stir until all ingredients are slightly wilted and smooth. Remove and store in a plate.

Forming Ladoo sweets:

  1. Shape the ladoo dough into a ball.
  2. Dip your hands in margarine so they don't stick.
  3. Then take 1 spoon of ladoo dough, and form into balls.
  4. Add topping on top with sliced ​​almonds or cashews
  5. Candied Ladu is ready to be served.
